Dear Readers,
Certainly, 2020–2021 has been one of the scarcest, and possibly most worldwide disruptive, years marked as an important epoch in the history of pandemic. However, let us all welcome 2022 together, hoping to see increased stability and perhaps even novel movement to which we are culturing ourselves to adapt with the COVID era.
As mentioned earlier, the revised rates for the article processing charges will be effective from this issue onwards. This revised charge was due to the increase in journal printing, postage cost, website maintenance and royalty charges for Medknow publishers. The total expenses were surpassing the total revenue generated from the Article processing charges (APC) and journal subscribers. To overcome this deficit, we are planning to go for either ONLINE ONLY mode for all manuscripts and PRINT version to only journal subscribers and the first authors of the manuscript. This can not only save some expenses, but also reduce the burden of APC on authors and Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists (IAOMP) association also. So, I request the association members to kindly look into the issue at the earliest.
